  • Spelling Wisdom – 10 lessons. Needing to put lots of effort into this.

  • Poetry – Began memorising The Ancient Mariner. Began enjoying it but then felt very passionate it was too abstract to appeal to him.

  • Began Grade 11 with mathsonline.  Revision at this stage and very easy for him, will get more difficult

  • Science Matters – 2 chapters, read and took notes as reading.   Loves it finding it interesting. Studied electronics and chemical bonding.
  • Singapore Science – Physics.  Very good.  2 chapters.  found the textbook approach not as enjoyable 
History 
  • History of the Church – Didache.  2 Chapters, copious pages of study answer questions. Enjoying it.

  • Copywork – Bible – Needing to be more consistent, takes lots of time
  • Writing With Skill – 1 weeks worth. Found it a bit tricky
  • Poetry – Began memorising Andy’s Gone With the Cattle, loved this poem, an excellent job of remembering!

  • Fallacy Detective – 2 chapters, really enjoying it.

  • Mathematics.com – 10 lessons.  Working hard on 2 lessons per day.  Mostly getting 100% first try

  • History of Medicine JH Tiner – 4 chapters, read and answer questions.  Really enjoying it, learning lots.

  • A Little History of the World Gombrich. –  3 Chapters, written excellent narrations, very impressed

  • Began with MEP maths.  Decided it really isn’t a good fit.  Switched to mathsonline and soo much happier.  Now understands and has set herself goals to finish Grade 5 by the end of term 2.

  • Planet Earth – JH Tiner – 4 chapters, read and answer.   Loves JHT, really likes science now:)
Nature 
  • Insect Adventrues – J H Fabre Read 4 chapters.  Gave oral narrations.  Found it hard at first but coming easier to her.
History 
  • RC History.  Read 3 early Roman senators, and 3 early Church matyrs.  Wrote narrations for 2 people

  • Reading to Mum.  Mercy Watson & Zac Powers. Doing so well in reading, not only reading with far more confidence and fluency for reading lesson but reading catechism and one of mum’s written narrations.  So heartening to see:)
  • Copywork – working on pencil grip and letter placement
  • Schonell Spelling – 6 lists.  Then uses words in a dictated sentence.
  • Primary Language Lessons – 4 lessons orally
  • Shakespeare – Listened to 2 stories on Librivox
  • Poetry – Ning, Nang, Nong. Loves poetry and totally impressed us with her memory!!!

  • Read and narrated 2 chapters of Child’s History of the World.  We then decided we are bored with this and began RC History.  Read about Pompeii.  Really enjoyed this.

  • Watched tutorials on youtube, inspired huge amounts of drawings and oil pastel designs
