The following is an poor approximation of the learning undertaken this term. Obviously, far more learning occurred than was recorded here. Particularly as my notetaking was spectacularly poor this term.
Sports Carnival:
We hosted our annual Sports Carnival. Once again over a hundred children, a terrific day.
Our children placed well in both the Track and Field Events, bringing home medallions, and first and other placements.
Most importantly, they displayed Great Leadership skills, so proud of them. Good Sportsmanship and Leadership skills are highly valued.
Huge Term Project:
Every two years our homeschool group undertakes a play production with our wonderful director Sue Kearney. This year we undertook the production of the musical, The Sound of Music! and it was performed at the Criterion Theatre!! It was a huge undertaking, the focus of much work in Terms 2 & 3.
Ignatius and Sebastian had the leading male roles!! Captain Von Trapp and Max!!! Sebastian’s first time performing and wow oh wow.
Siena also had a number of medium level roles! She was Sr Bertha, and the Baroness Von S_.
The work that goes into these productions is intense. The skills the children learn and develop in so many areas is invaluable.
What a privilege to be part of this!
